Unfortunately American History is very selective and favors a European presence over the diverse native foundation of this land. Also, no corporations would pay for advertising to support programming that favors truth over feel-good status quo pampering.

Because it is old news people no about it already, why do you keep going to the past you lost the war of 1884, When the United States was in Mexico city we withdrew, we could have kept Mexico city also, but we didn't, we also paid 15 million for the land which was a lot of money back then, I guess we should have kept it at least Mexico would have a decent government. Becasue no one cares - and more importantly - land throughout the globe has been shifted form one group to another and most likely always will. While you have scratched the surface on indigenous peoples of N America - you may want to dig deeper, concerning decisions they made during the 1500's - late 1800's. Its not as cut and dry as you would like to think.
