I quit smoking in 1996 and I am no longer wheezing or coughing in the morning like I was before and my endurance has improved a lot. Your lung rebuilds and heals I have heard after 7 years it is almost as good as new again depending of course on how much you smoked.

I heard that if you stop smoking for 15 yrs, it's as if you never smoked at all.

It will become healthier, but it helps to do cardiovascular excercise. That will help it faster.
