I used to struggle with this. First of all let me tell you... if your hair is *really* oily... don't use conditioner at ALL. You don't need it.

Now, moving on to shampoo... even if you don't have dandruff (I don't)... use a dandruff shampoo. It will suck some of the oil right outta your hair. Your head will feel cleaner than you ever thought possible.

I just use Equate dandruff shampoo from Wal-Mart and it works fine. But if you wanted to use Selsun Blue or Head n Shoulders, I'm sure that would work too.

It depends on how often you need to wash. Some people with oily hair need to wash thier hair every day while others need to do it every other day. But an oil shampoo that would control it and keep your hands of your hair. The oils from your hand get on your hair easily and cause it to get oilier faster.

Don't over shampoo your hair because it stimulates the oil/sweat glands and will actually make your hair appear more oily. Use a clarifying shampoo and a leave in conditioner...comb your hair, don't brush it and it should be ok.

if you have bangs your hair may be getting oily from being in your face or touching it... if you want to cover up some of the oil put baby powder in your hair and brush it

Use lighter conditioners, or a 2 in 1. Put a teeny tiny bit of talcum powder at your roots, you can also check in salons, my friend had a powder especially for reducing greasy hair. Use as few products in it as possible.
