Do they really? I love them.
I know that there are a lot of people who hate broccoli -- which I also love. These people are called "supertasters" and can taste things that most of the rest of us can't taste. Broccoli tastes very bitter to them, because they can taste something in it that the rest of us can't. The cause is genetic.
Me? I absolutely hate the taste of Cilantro. Many people tell me it has a mild flavor, but to me a small amount is disgusting and overpowers everything else.
perhaps Sprouts is like that to some people.

I am not a guy and I hate brussel sprouts. They just look weird, and they have a funny taste.

Hmm..I'm a girl and I hate em, I don't think it's a gender based thing really, Lol.. But i've never really tried em, so I dunno..I just don't like they way they even look, Lol.

If I remember correctly (it's been a while since I've eaten them!) they have a bitter taste, and not many people like bitter foods.
