http://www.enchantedlearning.com Fun and educational!
Remember that social and emotional skills are more important than academic skills. You don't want to teach your child the kindergarten curriculum before they start kindergarten or they will become bored. It's like learning German before you take a German class.
These are some basic skills that you child should have before starting school: hold a pencil in an orthodox way, recognize their name, write their name (upper case first letter followed by lower case), know 8 basic colors, cut with scissors, dress themselves, take care of bathroom needs. Here is a link to some more readiness skills http://216.109.125.130/search/cache?ei=u...
I like enchanted learning because it's not only about numbers and letters, it helps children learn about their world as well as some of the skills listed above. Keep it fun! Good luck!

Good god... let your child have fun and explore.... in nursery they will do simple things like colour, shape and letter recognition, but there should be a strong emphasis on play....
Remember in some parts of Europe they don't send their children to school until they are nearly 7! These children always tend to end up far more intelligent than American or British children where there is pressure to dump our children off to school earlier and earlier.
You can help your child by playing simple games with picture cards with letters on them, even out shopping... rather than say " we need apples" say "we need GREEN apples" and get your child to get them and put them into the bag counting them as you go.
Good interaction with children in this way prepares them for nursery and school without the pressure of sitting down at the table and learning through proper structure... most children under 6 are not taught this way in nursery or schools.
I know it can be hard with regards to peer pressure when the mother next door says that her 4 year old is reciting Shakespeare!!! Don't bow down, love and support your child and make learning fun, your child will ultimately learn more and have a much healthier attitude toward school.
Relax.... your baby is only 3.

As a teacher, I am glad to hear that you are wanting to work with your 3 year old. Worksheets are a wonderful way to compliment learning. Please be sure to use other activities besides worksheets to work with your child. Games such as Candyland offer lessons in turn taking, number and color recognition. You can also use flashcards. Cooking is also a great way to help your child with math skills. Read to your child daily. That is one of the single most best things you can do. With that being said: here are some links to sites that I recommend:

If your child is going to be attending a local authority nursery (rather than a private one) and is attached to a primary school then I would recommend talking to the teacher in charge of the nursery. They will know what schemes are used in the school and can probably give you sheets for you to do with your child. My daughter's nursery gave us some sheets showing how they form all the lower case letters etc, which can vary form schol to school.

Wow! I really don't know onthis score, but I guess there are sites to goto in order to find this stuff for your kid!
Try this one - it may be obsolete as my grandaddy created it in 1998!

Don't do it. Let them play. Pressuring kids into learning too early can put them off education for life.
