sometimes a childs bladder hasn't grown to the appropriate size in proportion to the rest of their body but it usually grows in time. I would see a doctor and see what he recomends. Ask your son if everything is okay at night, make sure he's not having any nightmares he's not telling you about.
Also make sure his liquids are limited before bed time and make sure he goes to the bathroom before he goes to bed. Get some of those huggies "good nights" underpants, those will help on the laundry side, until you can figure out why he's still wetting the bed.

Sometimes they do. You may need to wake up at night yourself and get him up to go potty. He has to get into the habit of going also you may cut out his drinking at a certain time each night before he goes to bed and take him to the bathroom just before he goes to bed. If this does not help he could have a medical problem. My daughter did this but she had a thing called Bladder Reflux which had to be fixed with medication for 2 years. The Doc said some kids outgrow it some do not. Hope It works out for you.

Some children take long to learn to control there bladder. use regular underwear in the day and pull ups at night don't tell him there like diapers just say there sleep underwear. don't give him any thing to drink at least 2 hours beforee sleeping and make sure he uses the bathroom right befor sleeping. Talk to your doctor and have him checked out if your worried he may have a problem with his bladder although he may just be learning slow. some people if they see bathrooms or ant thing related in there dreams they may accidentally wet the bed i know my mother told me she had a dream she was in a party drank too much and needed to go she was asleep and wet her self. another thing is it may be hereditary so remember to be patience and give it some time but if he passes a few more years then its serious business.

Sometimes it just happens. I wet the bed for a very long time and finally was given medecine that helped me stop. (it's been awhile) The most important thing is don't belittle him or put him down or make him feel bad. Don't let him drink anything later than 2 hours before bed. And buy goodnights!

Good nites and don't worry. Have you taken him to a therapist to see if there is anymore to it than the physiological problems? Some children can do this to the age of 10. Nothing to drink 2 hours before bed time and 2 visits to the bathroom before bed time.. Good luck.

No fluids two hours before bed. Make sure he goes before bed as well. If that doesn't help, talk to your doctor about some of the causes of bed wetting. Chances are very good that he'll just grow out of it.

some kids are just slower at that than others. My son did it til he was 8. They outgrow it but you have to try and make sure he does not drink anything a couple hrs. before he goes to bed. I have alway tried to wake him up in the middle of the night but it was always impossible because half the time I was too late. Good luck, he will outgrow it.

Try to limit his intake of fluids at a set time every night. He may be wetting the bed due to having late night drinks. I am in the process of potty training my son and in order for him to understand the importance of dryness at night I have given him a cut off time for drinks at 7:30 p.m. If he wakes up in the middle of the night and is thirsty, then I only give him a small amount to quench his thirst. At first I thought this to be inhumane to my child, but it works the best and he is very healthy and confident during the night.

The only thing you can do is try not to give him water 2 hours before bedtime. Make sure to take him to the restroom before he goes to bed. Just be patient. Make sure you know that nothing weird has happened to him recently. This is sometimes a phase not a illness or something.
Now if it continues then see a doctor.

Do not give him anything to drink past 5pm and let him use the bathroom before going to bed. Make sure he gets plenty to drink in the morning and afternoon, but limit his intake by 5pm.
Also, don't dwell on it too much, that can have the opposite effect. I wouldnt worry too much, he will grow out of it.
