You may have a tongue thrusting problem.
It's where your tongue pushes forward when you swallow, most people aren't even aware that they're doing it.
A dentist could tell you if that's what's going on. I don't know if there's any way to stop doing it except to just be really conscious of it.

I went to the dentist for the same problem, and she said that my bottom teeth are grinding into the gingiva behing the front teeth. Do you have an underbite due to malocclusion because you are missing teeth, and your other teeth have shifted. You may need a partial put in where the missing teeth are to prevents your bottom teeth from hitting the back of your front teeth. The dentist recommeded a mouth guard at night to prevent the tooth from grinding into the gingiva causing swelling and a possible infection. If you have an infection, you must begin antibiotics.

apparently this just happened overnight? it is possible that you bruxed your teeth that is- a grinding or gritting thing that most people do while they are sleeping. it surely can make your teeth feel loose. since you have 'good hygiene' , you must be going to see your dentist every 6 months or so? if this is true they would have told you if you had a periodontal problem. i would suggest contacting them and running by for a quick look/see and make sure the problem is taken care of quickly.

Go to the dentist, it is important. If they can save them from becoming bruised from the knock they will. Use an anaesthetic gel on the gums and some paracetamol for the pain otherwise. If they are bleeding eat an icypole..it helps cease the bleeding :)

Well it could just be a deficiency of vitamins such as the B vitamins. Try taking Vit B complex.
I'd also recommend you get it checked by your dentist - your teeth are precious.
Hope it gets sorted out soon.

You don't have to have bad hygeine to be a victim of gum disease/ periodontal disease. Sometimes your partner, can give you gum disease unwittingly, or you can get it from an overabundance of bacteria naturally even if you have good hygeine. Sometime's it inherited. Eat yogurt as frequently as you can, avoid excess sugar, and give yourself about 3 days heal time, if it persists go see a professional.

If you are diabetic, it sometimes causes that and can make you lose some of your teeth. If you aren't diabetic it could an infection of some kind, and you need to seek medical attention either way.
