Women go through a lot more emotional distress then men. When there is a loss in the family the woman feels the weight more and when there is an ill member of the family a woman feels more hurt.
If you notice that there are more athiest men then women then you may be in a society where women have lost faith due to certain events. Most woman are born with religion than men. Men are more likely to be athiest. I'm going to do something and I'll return with more information.
----------------------------------------------
I did a survey. It turns out on the internet that there are more beliver than non-believers in both gender. It also turns out the there were more male athiest than female.

I am a woman and not an athiest...more like agnostic.....I think it is likely that your assumptions are correct. Maybe because women bear children and at least for me it is hard to think that Jesus was an immaculate conception. I think that women are also more likely to find a connection with "mother nature" than men for the same child bearing reasons. I hope I have been of some service in your quest. Best wishes

Statistically, you're desirable. There are extra atheist men then women. motives for that - properly, no longer certain, yet may be partly by using actual incontrovertible reality that there are extra men contained in the fields related to math, physics, etc - what's mostly said as "precise sciences". We men choose an instantaneous answer to an instantaneous question (subsequently, the question being "Is there God").

I don't think that's true, no... It may appear that way because women are more social than men in general and are therefore more likely to engage in conversations regarding their beliefs. (Or lack thereof.) Add to that the generalization that Atheists are less likely to be 'group thinkers' - less likely to seek support for their beliefs within a larger group. I'm sure there are a dozen other factors at work as well.

and rightly so as women realize their godliness long before the males.
Males usually realize the "demon" inside them as they love the destructive nature they hold, women whom are the eptime of love and creation know what they are a need no assurance from me.
I rather enjoy this fact. Women will always be more preceptive then men

Probably because there are more females in this section than males. Personally, I find that the males I know (I'm in high school) care about religion a lot less than females, but they probably just tell people they're Christian.

I've actually observed the opposite: more men than women are Atheists. Though, I could be wrong.

I'm a devout athiest and a man. As man created God, it makes sense.

I've never really noticed, but I guess that could be true. Women tend to be quite analytical and thus question and investigate things more often.
