Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming,running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions,pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull,leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

Muscle weighs more than fat..
plus if all you are doing is cardio and NO WEIGHTS you are not going to lose any weight properly...
because you are doing so much cardio make SURE you are drinking 2-3 litres of water a day, or your body will retain water and you will gain weight.. which is probably what is happening

Wrong. It's not about losing weight, it's about losing inches. Don't focus so much on the numbers on the scale. Measuring your waist, hips, and thighs is a much better way of determining how much more fit you are than before. Gaining weight when you're exercising just means that you've replaced fat with muscle. (Muscle weighs more than fat.)

Well, you can't be eating like crazy... cut back on the high fat stuff. And cardio is good, but you need to do some light weights too. To burn your fat off.
What you should do is get on the bike and do about 15 - 20 minutes on that, then do some legs, abs and upperbody exercises with light weights then hop on the treadmill for 30 minutes to finish it off. two 15 minute cardio workouts burn more fat than one 30 minute workout. also, cardio after weights burns more than weights after cardio.
It's normal to gain weight because your metabolism adapts so quickly, but once you keep working out, it'll come off.

pick up a 5 or 10 pound weight at the gym and visualize that weight coming off holding the weight in your hands helps bring home just how heavy even 5 pounds of extra fat can be

You need a combination of diet and exercise to lose weight. You are now building muscle, which is heavier than fat, but this will nonetheless make you look slimmer. My son, who is a Phys. ed. teacher adds that you should add weight training to your program for maximum results.

If you were already at a relatively healthy weight then no you are losing fat and gaining muscle, muscle weighs more than fat. I bet if you measure yourself you have lost inches.
