As a bulimic, I can tell you that I have:
tooth enamel decay (it's painful for me to eat and drink anything that's not lukewarm), acid reflux, chest pains, anemia, swollen glands, bloating ("bulimic belly"), among other things
Friends of mine have suffered heart conditions, electrolyte imbalances, dehydration, and low potassium. If the bulimic uses toothbrushes or spoons to purge, they can have punctures and stuff.
It also varies depending on the type of bulimia. A laxative abuser would have different side effects than a purger, restricter, or exercise bulimic. Distinguishing between purge-type anorexia and purge-type bulimia also changes some side effects. Also, diet pills play a major role in the long term effects.

Bulimia can affect the body in a number of negative ways. One thing is the damage that stomach acids do to the teeth, mouth and esophagus. Damage to the esophagus is usually permanent and can lead to rupture which is deadly (you have little time to get emergency medical attention before DYING). The teeth are also weakened by the stomach acids which eat the enamel, causing tooth loss. Cancer of the throat and pharanyx (voice box) which is also attributed to damage from stomach acids. Kidney failure and heart failure indefinitely, as a strain is put on both organs. The bones are affected, sometimes in the long run, and prone to arthritis and osteoporosis. Infertility is also attributed. Diabetes is more prevalent in victims of Bulimia. Muscle atrophy, as the muscles don't get enough protein and are actually "fed upon" by the body. Bulimia nervousa is a very serious and DEADLY disease and isn't worth it.

Besides the long term effects there are also the immediate effects to think about...
There is a nerve in the back of the throat, which if you accidentally hit against with your fingers while trying to puke up, you risk instant death!
Rupturing the throat...
A few of the long-term....mal-nutrition, inability to digest food.....

electrolyte imbalance is the most dangerous thing; i heard Terri Schiavo went into her vegetative state due to an eating disorder, im guessing it was probably bullemia. also, like everyone has said it eats away teeth, and increases risk for cancers of the mouth and throat since the stomach juices damage the cells

Death to say one, that's rather negative. Also the deterioration of the esophagus so even if you can become cured, you will suffer for years because your internal organs are being digested. It causes horrible malnourishment too which is horrible on the internal organs too

I am sure there are alot, but being in the dental field I know it erodes the enamel on your teeth. All the acids actually eat away at the lingual (tongue) side of the teeth.

See "fat loss tips" #4 on site below. It also tells how this is much more common than people think. One effect is very severe tooth decay especially with front teeth.

Stomach acid eats the enamel off of your teeth and your teeth rot. The acid also permanently damages your esophagus.
