It could any number of reasons why you wake with a headache. It very well could be your eyes, but I doubt you do much reading while sleeping, so may be look else where. The easiest possible solution is drink more water. You may be dehydrated and your body is trying to tell you be giving you pain. Try and drink 8 glasses of water throughout the day for two days and see if that does the trick. You could have sleep deprivation which is much more a complex issue to fix. I'd try the water first, it's an easy cheap remedy that might just do the trick.

this could be a lot of different things. you should first consult your primary care physician. Be ready to answer q's like, "how long has this been going on?" "Do over the counter drugs help?" "Family history of headaches or migrianes?" make a list of these, including severity, frequency, placement in your head or neck. It may be your eyes, but it also may be migraine headaches, grinding your teeth - it's best to start with doc.

Could be lack of sleep, your eyes, a bad mattress or pillow that strains your back or neck uncomfortably, anxiety, stress, knots in your neck and shoulder muscles... Try doing some stretching and massage your neck and scalp muscles.

It is probably because you need glasses. That used to happen to my sister. We took her to the eye doctor and she said she neede glasses. After my sister got her glasses she stopped getting headaches.
