If I break into your house, and if I did it to "make a better life for myself", does that make it ok?
I think it should since people here justify the actions of illegals by saying "they are just looking for a better life".

"Oh okay. Do you feel the same way about Native Americans? Or do you just conform to whatever is best for you???"
Native americans didn't have a country ;)
We do have a real nation in this land now and we shouldn't look to the 1600s for modern day issues.
I don't want to get into a rant, but back then the world was about Conquering and expanding empires and civilizations. We should solve current day issues and not feel guilt for the past

I work hard enough here--so if others have to work hard there-that is just to bad.
Fix your own problems where you live and don't give me any more here. That is fair.
It is not a I want it and I should get it world.!! Adjust yourself to that. If you take-you will receive flack and a lot more.
And I don't need the excuses neither-there is a long line in front of you who want help and they deserve it first----get to the back of the line and wait. They all have sad stories.
How many horses can you put in one stall?---stay in your own pasture and quit pushing mine out of the barn and eating their oats.
You will survive--

I was referring to your comment "break into your house". What kind of analogy is that? - A horrible one. If you want to talk about houses being broken into... look at the U.S. Look at all the different people we have here from all over the place. When did all this immigration b.s. become so eloquent anyway? We're all human beings, and we all want a better life.

The issue is ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.... Most Mexican are honest hardworking good people...and true they're looking for a better life here. There is nothing wrong with being poor and wanting better for our families---we all did---but it has to be within the frame of the immigration laws. That's why countries have laws... Where do we draw the line? Why don't we just let the 1.5 billion poor world over in? People take space and resources... People pollute. What abt the environment and wildlife? Sorry they have to make it better in their own countries.... Viva la revolution...out with Fox...in with Pancho Villa. (By the way is not only Mexican...Asians are just as bad.) You open a fortune kooky and out come 10 illegal Chinese running into the night in Chinatown.

WOW.....what a way to generalize.
I don't think I have EVER justified an action by ANYBODY by saying "they just want a better life". I can't.
You wanna know why I can't BECAUSE they are already here living the better life, so I cannot use that in their defense. They have been here for 10-15 years ignored....going to work everyday.....2-3 jobs and supporting their families.....thus they have a handle on the "so called better life". Oh and most didn't "sneak" in illegally either.......they may be illegal NOW...but didn't enter that way (you should check into that....very interesting reading).
I am floored as to WHY so many of YOU tell us what WE SAY. We very rarely use these ridiculous excuses you come up with and we very rarely post questions that refer back to them.

You bet!! That's how it works!! There's no way they can improve their own country. They wait until our ancestors tame the land, bridge all the rivers and canyons and lay nice roads down so they can just waltz in on our good graces! Sounds fair to me!! And also, let's not forget that Mexico was plotting with the Nazis during WWII and ready to take over Texas, New Mexico, and California, had we lost the war!! How come that has been so easily (or conveniently) forgotten?? I say we build a wall in the fashion of the one Israel is erecting along the length of out southern border first, and followed by one at the Canadian border. Everybody in favor, say Aye!!!! 2 points for me! Yay!!!!

I think you're right with that whole illegal immigrant thing. Supposedly people want them to have rights over here in the US but I don't think they should because they are illegal. When they become citizens and part of the US then they should get the rights of Americans. Otherwise they are just coming over here to take jobs that citizens of the US need.

That is NO excuse for breaking our laws!!! Anyone who has EVER sneaked into this country, should be DEPORTED, with NO chance of EVER becoming a citizen!!
Besides that,we have our OWN poor people in this country that's "just looking for a better life"!! And,at lease our citizens DESERVE the help, illegals do NOT!!

You logic makes no sense. Someone breaking into your house hurts you personally. IIlegals in the U.S. are helping the economy over all and doing jobs that no one else wants to do. No one is trying to justify anything. "Looking for a better life" is about compassion and understanding, which you apparently have none of.

Well, that depends. If you are going to sell my television, which you stole, to stave off the malnourishment of your children, sure. Go right ahead. Finance your drug trade? No. Can't break in. Prostitute to my family? No, my door is shut.
Most illegals ARE looking for a better life, but some want it quicker than others, want it more dangerous. Things are wrapped in a shade of grey.

Illegal immigration is NOT a victimless crime. Every tax paying American citizen has an added burden to carry these parasites. If they want a better life, they can go and get it - it's waiting for them back in Mexico, as soon as they get enough balls to take back their country from their corrupt leaders and stop dragging us down!

Really aren't we all looking for a better life? The question really is why are some willing to sacrifice their morals and ethics for a better life. Better lives are earned. Some how some people here seem to think that adding criminal trespass to their list of things to do makes them better person.
