No it's not safe, Myspace does not check the infor you input, this guy could be like 30, he could be a she, he could be completely different from how you think he is. Be careful play safe, and if you have to meet this guy, be there with a safety buddy and have an escape plan. Too many girls have been raped by guys they met on Myspace.

Ask him for references. Other girls that he has met online and in person, preferably someone you have known (online or off) for some time. Then CHECK them. If they tell you he's a liar or a scary guy, you'd better meet someone else. If they don't, you can't be sure they aren't really part of some scheme, but you've got to trust your gut sometimes.

If he won't agree to that, you don't leave the public place with him, period. If the information can't be verified, you don't leave with him. Call a friend to escort you out.
