I am one of those guys.....Desert Storm/Panama/Bosnia/Iraq
And honestly the support from home is freaking amazing!!!!!! it goes along way to help us get through the low points. I for one thank the American People for supporting the soldier...even if the war itself may be unpopular. I guess the American people have learned from Vietnam. I know when we got back from Desert Storm...we sent all of our Vietnam Vets off the plane to the reception FIRST...telling them they get to go first as they never got their first one.....
Thank you for your support

No, we definitely do not. It does take bravery & loyalty to country & fellow Americans to get shot at. A lot of these young men & women joined after knowing they would be in harm's way. My son joined knowing he would go as an Officer to Iraq or Afghanistan.

NO!
There is totally not enough appreciation. Not just for the military but for the military family. I am so tired of hearing our military be cut down. I was once told that the troops could not hear what was being said, no they might not be able to hear it but I can and I love one of those troops. The american people need to think about what they say and who gives them the ability to say what ever they want.

You know what, citizens do alot for us....but I still think they can do better.
Citizen companies are great though. I'm 14, and I've been to Kennedy Space Center, Busch Gardens, and Disneyworld for free in one vacation. That was a few years ago. HOWEVER, it was really great, because my mom and I could spend time with my dad before he had to go away again.
We get discounts, and now camo is chic (talk about easy fashion for an army brat)
I think that citizens are doing a great job. It's alot easier than what it used to be to say "Yeah, my dad's in the army"

No, actually, we do not appreciate what they do for us. Now or even in peace. They are the guardians of our ability to live in a civilized world. I would not exactly call it freedom since that varies according to definition of the individual, but it is civil. Now they are in harms way, and I doubt if we do appreciate what they give up for us.

We can NEVER repay the sacrifices of these young men & women , who serve in todays military.
Veterans do not receive enough thanks or credit for their service to Country or Countrymen.
I urge everyone to do whatever they can for Active military and veterans.

Probably not.
They need to know that whatever we think of their civilian leadership, their devotion to duty is noble and worthy of praise.
Now if we could just keep them from getting killed needlessly......
