I was wondering what kind of details you could elaborate on with things like marriage and proxy ceremonies.

I have been to the Temple many times. Various ceremonies take place. These are:

• baptisms for the dead (See 1 Corinthians 15:29) which are just like normal baptisms. The dead person does not have to accept this ordinance if they don't want to, but if they have accepted the gospel in the spirit world, then this essential step has been taken for them.

• marriages for eternity, which are peformed in special "sealing rooms" and are much like a normal marriage. These can be done by those standing as proxy for deceased persons but, as with baptism, those people do not have to accept the ordinance.

• The endowment ceremony consists of instruction about the purpose of life, and then we make covenants with God - things like chastity and honesty - and are endowed with knowledge and blessings. It is very symbolic and meaningful, and very lovely and peaceful too. We dress in white clothing to symbolise purity, and at the end of the ceremony we go into the Celestial Room which symbolises heaven. This is the ceremony that many people think is masonic, but in actual fact the masonic rituals are a corruption of the original endowment, not the other way round.

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I have participated in and attended temple ceremonies many times. However, those ceremonies are very sacred, so I don't feel that it's appropriate to go into detail about them here. I'm not sure if you'd like an explanation of what happens or an explanation of why they exist. If you add detail that explains what you want, perhaps we can give you a more satisfying answer.

What happens in those Ceremonies is sacred it's between the one performing the ceremonies, the people in the ceremonies and God. I have however done proxy baptisms. watch a normal baptism for our church and that's about it. I haven't heard anything about this Masonry junk but whatever, Why are you so curious?

I know a great deal and it is to much to go into, however, I will forward you a link to the secrets of the mormon temple, ie what goes on during weddings, the secret handshakes of the aaronic priesthood (with pictures) and all those things that they dont want the american public to know. I have noticed one girl wrote that she can not go into detail on what goes on in a temple ritual. The trick of the Mormon Religion to lure people in is its secrets. If you want to find out why not become on e to find out for your self. The cermony is not that big of a deal noting crazy goes on however they want to think that it is a secret. Also they wont let yo attend a mormon wedding unless you are one. Another trick of the trade to lure you into the church. Also, to clarify the Mason issue with the Mormon church. Joseph Smith was a Master Mason and when he created his own religion (Mormonism) he used what he learned in Masonry Rituals and put his own spin on it and then changed the names of the rituals. THis is the link between Masonry and Joseph Smith. I hope it helps. Thanks!

With a little effort, you can find the complete temple ceremonies online, from several different revisions even.

look up the ceremonies of the masons. the mormon religious ceremonies were based on masonic ritual, almost word for word and action for action. they've changed them somewhat over time.
