I asked the question earlier " why do Christians think I am so lost". I am an Athiest and so I do not want to be saved. Most people answered that I am going to hell if I don't believe (or something to that effect). Isn't that up to God. Doesn't the bible say that God is the only one who can make that judgement? And that noone eles should judge. So by telling me I am going to hell aren't you going aginst what God says?

No I do not believe in hevean or hell. I did not ask the question because I was scared I was going to hell. I asked because I thought judgement of others was wrong in the Christian belief system.

Terrorism: The act of terrorizing; use of force or THREATS to demoralize, intimidate, and subjugate to further a policy.

Christian: having the qualities demonstrated and taught by Jesus Christ, as love, kindness, humility, etc.

Now which one sounds more familiar.

When you ask a question like this of Christians you always get the same twisted logic in response.

"I'm Christian so you're judging me": WRONG. If a black man asked a Klansman why he judges him based on his skin color, would it make any sense at all for the Klansman to act as if he's the one being judged?

or

"I'm not passing judgment, God is": WRONG AGAIN. You can't possibly degrade another human being based on the words in a book that is only held sacred by you and your fellow Christians and at the same time act like it was the book that made the judgment. The book is an inanimate object incapable of thought or judgment. The Christian God doesn't exist in the hearts and minds of non Christians. So "God" is also incapable of passing judgment if he is only a figment of your own faith. The judgment is always passed by the believer.

So if you're a Christian and you don't approve of Atheists, Agnostics, homosexuals, pro-choicers, people with tattoos, people with facial hair, people that eat shell fish, people that work on Sunday, ETC. that's fine. It's your choice. Just don't try to pass your bigotry off as "God's word". Show some back bone and stand behind your convictions. And please don't act hurt or surprised when those you're judging snap back at you. What else would you expect.

I wouldn't judge you because you are an athiest. I also would consider it rude to tell you that you are going to hell. But what I can do is tell you that you have a choice.

God gave us "free will." Every one has a choice. Some people choose to believe in God others do not. Those who choose not - will not go to Heaven. Thos who choose to believe - will go to Heaven.

It is very simple. If someone gives you a gift you can choose to take it or not. Jesus gave us a free gift. He died on the cross to bare our sins (past, present, and future.) For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. We just have to accept that free gift! Once that gift is accepted - you will live eternally. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Again - I will say that I don't have a problem with what you believe. You have made your choice. I have made mine. I pray that you are correct! Because there is a Heaven and a Hell - you must go somewhere.

Can I ask you a question? Do you believe in Heaven or Hell? If you don't believe then it shouldn't matter, should it?

Why do you care if they think you are going hell. You said you don't believe in it so what is the problem. If someone told me if I don't chew 300 packs of gum a day I was going to go to wrapper world I really wouldn't care because I don't believe in wrapper world. I think you are really scared there actually maybe a hell. If it is truly judgement that bothers you ask them to read the bible before judging others because it does say judge not yet ye be judged. Meaning don't judge others unless you are ready for God to judge you.

According to the bible, God judged the world 2000 years ago at the cross. All were guilty under the law and so all were given righteousness under grace. Belief was a law that was covered by this too.

Believe what you wish. You are a spirit, you are a piece of God, you are not just created, but the creator. Whatever you do here or think here will change your human life, change your mind, but it will not change who are or where you came from or where you will be when your body dies.

Oh Honey, There is only one true judge, and no Christian, Atheist, Muslim, Buddhist, etc. can even compare with such wisdom. Everybody thinks they know the answers, but until we die, I guess no one really knows for sure. The Christian stand point is better to be safe than sorry, but that still doesn't give them the right to judge your character. Yahoo Questions and Answers is not the place to air your dirty laundry. If you want unbiased support, I suggest you find an Atheist support group of some sort, but please don't be surprised if you are judged there. Seems this judgmental crap goes all ways. To err is Human, to forgive is Divine.

I'm a Christian and I think it's wrong to judge others. Everyone judges though, it depends on who the person is, not whether or not they are Christian or not, but if they are, they've sinned, and if so, they will, or should, like I do, admit to God they judged someone and ask for forgiveness and to make things right.

I am a Christian Pastor and I agree with you that a lot of Christians spend entirely to much time judging others.

They mean well I'm sure, but your mind will never be changed with harsh words and hate.
I pray that someday you will come to realize that you may be on the wrong path.
But then that's between you and God, not you and me.
God Bless.

The Bible DOES NOT say you cant judge , contrary to how often that scripture is said. Is says Judge not, lest you be judged ,FOR BY THE SAME MEASURE YOU JUDGE IT WILL BE MEASURED AGAINST YOU. So if Im stealing and I start shouting about some other guy stealing - I'm in no position to do that and its wrong. But nothing is wrong with righteous judgment.

Sounds like a judgement call to me ;)

Whether you believe in God or not, if he exists, will change nothing. Whats wrong with people not wanting you to go to Hell if there is one?

I think as people we judge, we are constantly using our judgment in different ways. Usually we are not judging people but using our judgment on weather or not we will go to work or not...or if I should eat an ice cream when I'm on a diet, you know stuff like that. I do agree as people we need to be less judge mental on each other.
