Gay bashing metaphor from the guy with the confederate flag for an avatar? You could cut the irony with a fork in here. To answer the actual question, yes, absolutely they are mistaken. I wish there was more I could say about it, but... that's really all it is. A simple truth, they do.

lets keep the facts right, the bible was written after the fact, many books for the bible were not written for as much as 900 years after the events they attempt to describe. You can't believe much of the bible other than to say it conveys the general intent of the religion!
