texturizing wax won't help with your problem. as a stylist i'd suggest either matrix curl life line or sexy hair concepts curly sexy hair line. they both have anti humidity/antifrizz sprays for your hair. curl life's spiral gel works great. other options are a smoothing gel with paul mitchell's super skinny serum. texturizing gel will give your hair a courser feel to it, it's designed for people with fine hair, it'll give the hair some grip so that they can style it better. curly hair already has texture to it (perms are called texture services) so you aren't going to want to add any texture. but it will give you a piecey look if applied at the scalp in small amounts.
