You probably got some teenagers with a b.b. gun out side and just shot one of the crows. I know when I used to be small I used to shoot them with my b.b. gun. Every time we got one all the other crows see their partner injured and call out for more crows to come. Like if they are really going to attack some one. Don't worry its not death in the air only for the crow. Also some times the crows just idiotically crash on a tree or power line and cause them to not be able to fly and all the crow can do is cry for help. When they cry for help the whole gang comes to see what the problem is.

A large black dog started barking at my front door one day. I felt weird about it and went to a different part of the house the dog followed and barked at the window of the room I went into. Several hours later I found out that my 37 year old uncle had died at the same time the dog was barking at me.
Maybe a squirrel died on your roof and they want to have it for dinner after their flight.

Well I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada we have lotsa crows, usually their is garbage or food around, other than that they love to piss everything off. We have a bald eagle nest in the back yard and they get off day and night chasing it diving on it and just harassing the pair of eagles and their young as well as our dog, and any other bird or small animal they can piss off.

First, be sure that they are crows. Lol.

They are probably just hovering because of the heat currents, it may be breeding season for them, or there is something dead to feed upon in the general area.

This probably means that there is a dead animal close by. Start shooting fireworks off. This will probable make them leave. If you are like my you probably do not have a gun. But fire works are legal now. That should scare them off. At least for a while.

nothing to worry about. they're probably drifting on thermals or looking/found food. there's also a theory that crows have funerals for each other. no foolin'! if you see a dead crow near your house that MIGHT be what they're doing. they may be crowing over a predator. is there a cat/dog near by?

Sorry---#2 dude is right on--your family is about to be met with a loss--sorry--this is an omen that goes back millinea--it isn't for the household itself -- it is within the family somewhere that this will occur and it will be within ten days

They like the heat that is rising to make currents. But, if you are superstitious if is a bad omen.....or there is something dead on top of your house.

You have to find the nest. Call some exterminators in the area.
