Hopefully, not into the eye itself.
It isn't a good idea to rub your eye if there is something in it.
It is best to try flushing it out with eye wash. If that doesn't work, you can use the eyelid trick, where you gently pull the lashes of your lid up over the other lid to brush the debris out.

it gets out. if you rub your eye, or hold the eyelid down, the reaction is for your eye to start to water. that's how it gets out of your eye.

It usually flows out with the natural tears you create by further agitating your eye.
