Does anyone see anything wrong with a person who has strong faith in God, and feel that he has been called by God, to receive his ordination online? Are these types of ordinations real and why do some have to pay to be ordained and some offer it for free?

I know that I for one view it as a problem. If you are "ordained" online, there is no one to certify that you know the faith, that you desire to be a minister to God's people, and that you are genuine and sincere in your love for God and the faith. It just seems very phony. If you really love God, make the commitment to enter some sort of program and preparation: don't get ordained on some crazy whim. I will have been doing college / graduate work for 8 years before I am ordained a Catholic priest... Now that's real.

As a Christian Pastor I feel that in order to be ordained at the minimum it should require two Ordained Ministers to speak for you and an oral exam to see if you know what your talking about.
I'm ordained by six different organizations and that's what I did each time.

Come on. God would require a little more effort. If Robbie Williams can be ordained on line, then you can discount the on line stuff. If you are serious, you need to belong to a community that validates where you are coming from, and prepares you properly.

Seek and enjoy your bliss.

I have been ordained for over a year from an"on line" church,it was free, and I agreed with their statement of beliefs, and I can still go to a church of my choice if I feel like it:). There are some scams/cults though, you do have to look into them a bit and see what is "right" for you.
a little more detail to those who says"God requires more effort".
Why would he? Jesus just walked up to those he wanted as apostles, and said"Follow Me" . Is anyone saying Jesus is "wrong" for the way he chose those who were to lead his church?

definite, that is, yet no one respects it. valid ordination comes by skill of a regarded church body. Baptist church homes are oftentimes more straightforward to be ordained into, yet even then, the church has to request it. in case you pick ordination purely to do a buddy's wedding ceremony or something, yet you particularly are not called through God to the ministry, then why seek for legitimacy?
