Change the oil in his car lol!! If you are really sincere about his "angel" he might eventually let up, but he'll always be keeping an eye on you concerning his daughter.

Common ground. If he likes to fish, casually mention that you heard about this new fishing boat, and what are his opinions of it.

Have a heart-to-heart with him, let him know you are not just out to sleep with his daughter and that you really care about her.

Then make a point to always be courtious around him and never do to much PDA's when around him. Treat his daughter with respect and even when he is NOT around, ask her about him, maybe mention something about something you saw or read to her that you thought would nice to pass along to him.

I had this problem with my current bfs mum. She wasnt a hardass, she just came off as one. My common ground with her was, gardening. I like to work outside and she did too and now we work together on things.

Its not perfect, but at least shes not secretly telling her son to leave meh!

*hugs*

You can't make him do anything...but in time you can prove yourself to be someone he'll feel he can trust with his daughter, and he may soften up a bit. It's not easy being a parent these days, and he's likely just looking out for the best interests of his daughter. Are his views and rules really that unrealistic, or is it they just don't suit you?

Slap him!!!

No wait that won't work

Don't worry about it he can't help it, you make him nervous, just be good to his daughter and he'll lighten up in time

Be respectful to him and if the girl has a curfew, get her home in time for curfew, if late take responsibility, and tell him yourself. The more o a man you are the less of a dick he will be

Respect him, honor his daughter. Or, as an alternative, forget it and accept the consequences. We all have choices; sometimes the wisest choice is not the preferred choice.
