So i recently relocated to a different part of the country. I am a mature student(27) and at the moment i only move in circles of students that are about 19-23yrs old. Love em but how will i meet a partner or friends when everyone else my age have careers, mortgages and starting their own families? And i am living on a student budget...so cant really go out to nice places where my peers might hang out. What do i do? anybody with some tips?

Start at the begining:
If you are studying art, go to local art shows. If you are studying law, go to networking parties at the local bars. If you are computers, go to a computer expo. See what I am saying.
The most important thing to meeting new friends is common interest. You are in school, so you have the perfect excuss to go to these events and things in your field. Money is tight, so take advantage of free fairs and networking parties (you can find them in your local paper)
When I moved to the States, I was in a similar situation and I got out there and went to all types of networking meetings and trade fairs. No one knew that I wasnt really going there to buy something, but passing out business cards and scheduling lunches to discuss 'projects' help meh find common ground with some of my peers and lead meh to develop great long term relationships and friendships with the people I met.

maybe start playing softball or volleyball in a league
not from a school
or volunteer at at the hospital (maybe you'll meet a doctor :)
Not all 27 year old are starting families and not all of them have fund either
you could also go to bars/clubs just do not drink expensive drinks have a soda or water in a rock glass no one will ever know the difference

Well, how young/how old are you willing to date? Lots of people going back to school these days, chances are you might meet someone in one of your classes...there's also singles clubs in a lot of places, how hard are you looking? If you're on an overload schedule like some students, maybe dating's not really the thing for now...

Try online. Personals can be used to find friends, but be upfront about it. You don't need a lot of money, some people still do go to the library or museums even though they have money and a career. You do have an advantage, since you are a woman, you can get guys to pay for stuff on dates and what not.

Someone already said online. I have done that and it works... kind of. LOL! You never know may get lucky, just be careful.
Another thing you may try is not to bee too concerned on the age of the person as much as the maturity level. Get to know people whether they are 5 years older than you or 5 years younger. You may find what you are looking for.

I konw how you feel but maybe you just might have to settle for someone younger then you. you never know u may be over looking the love of your life because you are afraid of his age. and there ar many mature 23 year olds you just have to be willing to get to know them. they hide lol but look i met my bf when i was 14 he was 16 we have been together ever since and we are planning to get married..see! you never know.

Give it time.....you don't even need to look further.....your friends would probably have older brothers they would hook u up with....just get your self invited to their homes.
