No. How do you have a boyfriend or girlfriend that you've never met? What's the point? I've become fond of people I've met online, but until there's some face-to-face contact, the relationship is simply cyber friends and nothing more.

As for why so many people here begged to get hooked up, either they think they'll actually meet at some point...or they are simply lonely and hoping some cyber person will fill a void in their life that they've allowed to form.

No. The physical aspect of a relationship is just as important as the mental. For me anyway a strictly online relationship wouldn't work. People who don't feel like they need the physical part of a relationship and are just looking for someone to talk to who is mentally stimulating would find the online situation good for them. But it's just like a quick fix. Makes you feel good for a sec but you still feel like something is missing. In the long run those people will want something more out of the relationship.

No, I dont't hink it's a good ldea. Maybe people in yahoo Answers just want to make it a joke. But really I think it's a bad idea. trust be, it's bad only if you really talk to that person and get to have a chance to see eachother for a bit.

Well, I think online chatting's a personal taste thing, it's certainly a low-budget/no-budget way to meet people! LOL Sharing time with others is a good thing, even if it's just online...
