I am going to visit some of my family in Michigan on Friday. My friend wants pics. What should i take pics of?

The friend is my BFF. She wants me to send her some pictures on email. I am already going to take pics of me and my fam. It is a graduation party so my cuosin will have her friends there. What should i take pictures of? (I am keeping some too i just need a few ideas please)

What ever you find interesting. If you are using a digital camera take pics of everything and just erase the ones that aren't so good later. Just keep your eyes open for interesting things and your camera close...you'll find something.

Oh and don't get fooled by the chap that answered previously...Minnesota is the land of lakes. Michigan's only famous lake is Lake Michigan as far as I know. Which still probably makes for a good picture...

Michigan IS the Great Lakes State...we have lots of lakes, in addition to being surrounded by the Great Lakes. So there are lots of scenic things you can photo. Without knowing where exactly you will be it's hard to say what you will be seeing there.
I would make sure to get lots of nice candid and posed shots of all those who are attending, photos of the gifts and the decorations. Maybe the house if it's interesting.

Take photos from a wide perspective, to establish the framework of the event.

Then move in, taking candids of people at the event.

Add some details like a cake or the buffet table, or the entire scene (by the pool) to establish the scenario.

Look for close-ups that personify the essence of the celebration.
