You can not live without God whether you believe in the existence of God or not. Just as you or anyone can not live without oxygen or energy even if they do not believe they exist. God of course is much more than energy. One can not live more fully without knowing as much as they can about God and living in a God pleasing truly good manner.

You wouldn't be here, if not for God. However, one can live, by the grace of God, in spite of the ignorance to recognize God in their life. How anyone can think that the creation just randomly came into existence, is beyond me. Sadly, for them, they only have themselves or other fellow humans to rely upon for facing the day to day struggles of life. This will seem to be fine for some things, but ultimately it will lead to their destruction.

I think you may have it backwards. It seems that most individuals and religious groups are more concerned with what happens in the so-called after-life. Most people are unable to cope with the possibility that after you leave this world, nothing awaits for them in the next life. It's too scary to think that when you die that's simply the end of your existence. Believing in god or a higher power allows most believers to cope with life by believing in heaven or at least some other plain of existence.

Tend not to think about it. And it allows more of the feeling that we make of our lives what we will, so only we can shape our future. Which to some is a preferable feeling.

Considering all the atheists who are living quite contented lives, my guess would be quite all right.

I can live very easily without the christian deity because my own spiritual path has other deities.
