Your sweet little kitten needs specific kitten nutrition just for her. I suggest putting her on Kitten Chow until she's about 6 months old. She will be growing at a fast pace and will need all the minerals and vitamins supplied in that food. It's also coated with a milky residue that kittens like. Once she reaches 6 months of age, you can gradually introduce her to Cat Chow. If you want to feed her a cat food that is less expensive, mix it into the Cat Chow little by little until she is eating nothing but the cheaper version. But make sure that the cat food has the recommended amounts of vitamins and minerals she needs.
I would refrain from feeding your kitten (cat) table food. Sure, it they might like it better, but it isn't the healthy choice for them. It can also create a dependency to table food, to the point that they won't eat their cat food and don't get the nutrition they need. There are, however, cat treats out on the market that you can give her .... on occasion.
Good luck with your little one! I hope she brings you lots of joy and companionship! Cats are fun and AWESOME !!!

no milk, only a mother's milk is healthy for a cat. At 7 weeks your cat can eat any dry or canned food for kittens. Nutrition is the number one most important thing for keeping your cat healthy. There is a terrific all natural food called nurto or natural choice sold at most pet stores. It is by far the absolute best food on the market but expensive.. However, in the long run it's cheaper than unwanted vet bills and a lot easier on you and your kitten. If not go with science diet food for kittens. Just make sure it's for kittens. But no milk, no chocolate, no sweets, makes them very sick and extremely hard to digest and harmful. If the cat needs milk go with a kitten formula sold at the pet stores. good luck hun Oh, and no table scarps also very difficult for babies.

i feed mine and any cat i need to fatten up( i do cat rescue)purina kitten chow soaked and sofened in enough warm water to cover the amount on the plate and then i mix in some kitten wet canned food, about 1/4 of a can. leave in any water after soaking the cruchies as it will have some of the flavor in it and will help keep kitten hydrated. make sure she has plenty of fresh water down at all times. you should probably feed her 3-4 times a day. you will be able to guage just how much she will eat each time after watching her for a few feedings. she might enjoy a treat of "cat" milk that you can buy in small cartons from the pet or grocery tore. do not give her regular milk. also if you use canned food and store any left overs in the fridge make sure y ou cover it and when it comes time to feed it to her warm it in the microwave before mixing it with the crunchies. cold food gives kittens tummy aches that may show up alll over your floors if you give it to her cold. kittens need the warmth of the food to aid in digestion.
i have rescued and raised many kittens from newly born to adult.

enjoy your baby. love and protect her always and she will repay you in kind over and over. spay her when she is old enough.
ps. no table food. well maybe a little chicken or beef(plain) as a treat, but best to feed cat food or you will make a rod for your back!

Feed her Purina Kitten Chow...it is in a yellow bag and you can buy it from Walmart. I have raised several kittens and they love it!! Don't feed her milk or other table food. Milk or table food is hard on kittens stomachs and can cause diarrhea! If she doesn't eat the dry kitten chow, put some warm water over top of the kitten chow to moisten it. Kittens love to drink the flavored water off and then eat the soft food. Make sure you don't get Walmart or off brand kitten chow because they don't have the right amount of nutrients as name brand foods.
Also get her to the vet and have her checked for Feline Leukemia and FIV (feline aids) ASAP. Also get her kitten booster shots!

If you give her milk, make sure it's NOT full strength. It will upset her tummy. Purina kitten chow is good, but it's NOT a good idea to let animals eat table food. That's a very bad habit to get them in and will turn her into a "trash" kitty. For this reason you should resist the temptation when she begs at the table.

At seven weeks she should have been getting kitten food by now. Most food made for kittens is softer, and easier to digest, and should be just fine.

Just kitten food, but whatever you do don't feed any cat or kitten dairy products. It can upset their stomaches.

You could probably start to feed it kitten food, but you'd have to soften it up with water or something.
