Don't be a slob, put your shoes in the closet where they go, not on the floor for your dog to eat. I doubt your dog stands up opens the closet door and begins to feast. Sounds more like you leave em out and need to stop.

Like other traditionally French things, I'm sure that your french shoes have surrendered to your dog.

My dog ruined all my leather shoes. So I bought new ones and put them out of her reach. The funny thing is she did not touch my sons nor my husbands shoes, just my leather shoes.

Put them out of their reach, and buy him some toys. Kong toys are good, we have those for my dogs, and they chew basically everything. Nylabones are also good as they prevent dental problems. Try to avoid raw hides and pigs feet though, because they normally leave a mess.

Ha ha! That's one smart dog. Seriously, you need to put them away when you aren't wearing them. That will help. You should also work on teaching your dog the command "leave it". Petsmart offers classes that will help with that.
