Grow some balls and casually approach him and start a converstaion. Usually what works is something about him or something he may be doing. Get a feel for his reaction and if he doesn't feel the same spark you felt when you saw him, move and spare yourself from becoming attached on a crush and end up getting hurt. Trust me, you can save a lot of tears by being smart.
