The insurance company can deny you and post a negative report on you. so when you go somewhere else they could charge you higher rates. Also the insurance companies always pull your driving records to verify your statements. Come on and man up to tell your mom. because if you got it while under her insurance I'm sure she noticed the rates go up if you didn't take of it ie traffic court.

Yes, that is insurance fraud. The insurance company (depending on who they are) will probably just raise your rates for the three years until the ticket comes off your license; however, depending on what state you're in, they have the right to cancel your policy at the end of this six month period.

Entering into a contract and lying to get the other party to contract with you is a crime in some states.

This is harsh, but better you know up front.

It's important to call them, there are alot of companies that only raise your insurance if you have a claim not a ticket. Others will raise your insurance, but every time you have your insurance policy renewed they do a DMV check to see your new activity. If you're not honest with them, some companies will cancel your renewal, and when u try to go with a new company u will have to tell them about your driving history, so always best to tell them the truth. Insurance companies are big brother you know. They can find out anything. good luck hun, and maybe um, just maybe......want to slow down in future. lol just trying to be humorus dear, not be a butt head. I wish u the best.

Technicalities truly bypass so a strategies to help. Did you teach him your coverage paper or did you no longer have it with you? in case you confirmed it and he nevertheless gave a cost ticket which will bypass some distance in the route of helping you. you would possibly want to strive against it your self and get it diminished, or more advantageous a lawyer. both way someone desires to describe to the prosecutor. 16 over isn't a small quantity. If I keep in mind wisely, Texas does have using college and shielding using video clips you could employ from Blockbuster (its like $39.ninety 9 yet counts as a shielding making use for sure so the cost ticket is going off your list).

There is a central system where they can verify that before they accept to give you the insurance...Usually, when they see that you lied, they'll refuse to give you the insurance. If they verify after, they could resigne the contract. I think ( i'm not sure about that one ), they can also write in your history that you lied: Other companies will be able to see that and they could also refuse to give you the insurance. That's pretty much it.

You could call them back and say you suddenly remembered that ticket. You might not fool anyone, but no sane person would prosecute you for that. You might get in minor trouble if the insurance company finds out before you tell them.

Are you 18 yet? Just call the insurance company and explain it just the way you did to us. The service rep will understand and appreciate your being responsible about it and straightening it out. I think they'll find out when they do a routine check on your driving record.

They will do one of the following options:
1. Raise your insurance since they have access to DMV records and can see if you have tickets
2. Deny your insurance claim and leave you without insurance. Also possible criminal charges
3. You get lucky (but very doubtful) and they don't check.

No they will pull your MVI and find out that you have a ticket and raise your rate. The letter will come in the mail with your new premium.

Just tell your Mom it slipped your mind... That way you don't have to say you are a conniving weasel that is too weak to tell the truth. Make sure you intercept that letter!!!

They'll find out sooner or later and then they will either cancel your coverage or up your rate!
