We can blame the employers that are knowingly hiring illegals, but the truth is that many don't know because illegals are using stolen identities and fake ID's and SS cards. If they are "paying taxes" then they are doing it in someone elses name and screwing them with the IRS. Not to mention screwing up real hard working peoples credit. Doesn't anybody pay attention to this aspect of illegal immigration??? I know that illegals aren't the only ones doing it, but the latest report was something like 83% of identity theft was illegals.

So true! If all the documentation looks right on paper, then the employer would be in violation of the law for not hiring them. We'd all accuse them of discrimination. What a joke! The employers can't win for loosing, it's double jeapordy. I think we need to put the blame where it belongs. Boil it down to the bottom of the pot people! We're dealing with a huge majority of thieves. I pray non of you get hit.

Illegals can get a Tax I D # from the IRS and pay taxes that way. The IRS doesn't care whether they are legal or not. We are being sold out. This could all be stopped if the government would enforce the laws as they stand. But they won't do it. The Republicans want to help big business with cheap labor, and the Democrats need the votes.. In the 50's there were raids on companies. If the laws were being enforced now, thats what would be happening.

Border security is something all border states have been dealing with for many years, as is illegal imigrants place in our society. It's not something that just suddenly sprang up, as it seems to have done elsewhere in the country, because of some politcal B.S. where each side is concerned only with how many votes they can gain or lose by their actions, not what really needs to be done about it. Anyway, maybe some are stealing people's identities, I don't know. But most employers know if they're worker are legal or not. I have seen illegals with fake IDs, and they're obviously fake. Emplolyers hire them because they want cheap labor, that's all.

Its something how so many people have such idiotic and sometimes racists remarks, It would be great to actually have people answer the questions on here, seems like the people who have replied are for the most part illiterate, uninformed, uneducated children who probably cant wipe their own A**. but your statement/question has alot of legitimacy, our social services are being paid by the hard working american people, the taxes paid if any collected from some of these illegals who are using false documentation, cant begin to pay for the amount they take from us. the schools are over crouded with illegalls and who pays, people like me my school taxes keep going sky high because the illegal immigrant population is exploding. as for someones comments about our agricultural system, do you honestly think that hard working americans are not working those farms too, as to who will take those jobs, lets see if the jobs were advertised and paid legal salaries, so many americans would have a place to turn to other than welfare.
the employers of these farms pay less than the minimum, I took a summer job at several farms i was paid about 40 dollars a day for about 12 hours, do the math and yes no question about who I was and no option to pay taxes, this makes it a great profit boom for the farming industry, they pay no health care or taxes for those people saving them billions, but they do have a very small percentage of employees who are on the books. OH YES I am a tax paying legal American citizen, I only worked at each place for a week while on my summer break from collage, was a good way to see for myself what was really going on, I am a latino (Puerto Rican) and pretended not to know the language and bingo , I was hired. ON the other hand some like a illegal and neighbor of mine makes between 400 and 500 for about 40 hours a week pays no taxes and his wife gets from welfare section 8 (pays the rent at 1,300 a month) has paid by you and I baby sitting, medicare, free schooling (since they do not pay taxes) have about three cars, cant keep up because they buy a differnt on every other week it seems, and they still complain about how bad things are for them. calculating what they get in benefits and in wages you can see why they come here, my salary does not even come close to what they get, they are living the american dream while you and I pay for it.

they're using made up ssn's, which a majority of them share, so they're paying taxes, yes, but not under another american's name. besides, if it wasn't for illegal immigrants, a majority agricultural economy would collapse. they are a major source of labor within agriculture. they do jobs that us snot-nosed americans think are too nasty for us.
why don't you get off of your high horse and try to imagine what it would be like to live in the conditions that the illegal immigrants live in. have you ever even seen how many people in mexico and other impoverished countries live??? i have, and i would never wish that kind of existence upon the family of my worst enemy. illegal immigration wouldn't be as much of a problem as it is if the world got together and actually tried helping these people a lot more than what has been done in the past. there are other more sinister problems than illegal immigration, e.g. political corruption, debt, poor medical care, etc. it's caused by something and if we fix those base problems first, then the effects of those problems will lessen.

First of all yes, illegals are using real socials and birth certificates from real people, but when it comes to taxes, those who DO do them apply for an ETIN #, given to them by the IRS to use to do taxes because they use other identity information. Those who DON'T do them just give their money to the IRS and never claim their hard earned money, regardless in their name or not. Do they ever ask the IRS to pay it back and with interest? NOOOOO!!! So what's your point? I think you need to do more investigating about identity theft.

From now on You are picking your own dam lettuce and I am not going to be around to clean out the stinking pool. Actually a lot of the illegals are paying taxes, the IRS is always happy to take some ones money.

I agree with you very much; there are now cases where teenagers applying for college loans are turned down because of illegal activity or bad credit reports. The average child doesn't check their credit report because they don't need or use it. How sad to find someone else using your ID and you not knowing. It's worse when someone uses your deceased relatives ID.

the employers know there illegal, the law states that they are required to have a ssn, not necessarly there ssn the employers arent stupid the fact that they dont speak english should be a tip off in most cases .
And what are you complaining about they will never collect money from that ssn any ways americans will have a surplus revenue that the goverment dont want you to know about.
may be thats why they allow it to go on?
Or if you are lucky enough to have one use your ssn all there contrabutions go in your ssn account.
Your arguements are tired tired tired and weak please give all americans everywhere even the anti mexicans say give it a rest

The government has the ability to cheak out the i.d. cards in a cross referance and don't do so....and the employers are in/on many occations aware of this and exploit this for future gain and many of the jobs are low paying where it is a hand to mouth existance and the employer has a long term employee which is why 'they' don't look to closely...and other reasons....
