If you try to fail, you have not yet failed but if you succeed in the attempt, you fail. If you fail to try to succeed, you cannot succeed because of your attempt to fail but nevertheless you succeed. (Incidentally, does a frog eat seed or merely suck seed). You ask what did you do. I have not the faintest idea for if you were trying to make a cake with the attempt to fail, you would or at least should not succeed. Yet your argument is that you succeed to make the cake without any hope of success. Have I succeeded in convincing you with my argument or have I failed. For if I have failed, how are you to know that was not my intent and therefore succeeded nevertheless...

The label of success and failure is on two different events. In one sense you failed at failing because you succeeded at what ever you were trying to do in the first place. Or vice versa.

It's definitely that you succeeded in failing....because your task was to fail and if you succeed in your task then you succeeded in failing
