The character, Jesus Christ, is another version of the resurrecting god myth. Throughout the Middle Eastern history, the myth of a god who dies and resurrects reoccurs periodically. Some other examples would include Osirus, Attis, and Tammuz. Jesus is hardly unique as a myth.

Prophet Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) was the messenger of God, sent by God in Past and then was raised back to heaven by God, becasue He preached to humans of that time that there is only one God, and people become His enemy.
We Muslims give Prophet Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) a great respect because its a part of our faith that we have to give respect to all the Prophets.

Jesus is the son of God. He died for your sins and my sins so people can go to heaven. If he din't die for your sins and others then we all would be going to hell. He is a friend that will never hurt you, be with you, he loves you with all of this heart. He ia God's son. Read the bible it will tell you more about him and who he is.
