Why do Christians use the bible to prove the bible ?

Eg. The story in the bible about Adam and Eve happened because it says so in the bible.

All the bible proves is that the bible exists.

Another of my favourites is god exists because of all the beauty in the world.

Again all this proves is that we humans find certain things in this world beautiful. Nothing else.

The Bible has more proof of it's authenticity than many peices of literature that are accepted as fact. There are more ancient copies for instance than many of those of many popular Greek philosophers which are accepted without very much textual criticism at all. The text all say basically the same thing with only minor scribal differences. Many times the scribal errors help us to know thier source and further prove the authenticity of the Bilble.

So in a way the Bible does prove the Bible and is a reliable accurate historical record. It is more reliable than many of the Churches' own traditions and denominations with all thier various complicated interpretations. If the Bible was really practiced and believed by all Christians then we would not have the divisions we have today. So it takes the Spirit of Truth and a love for the truth or even the Bible twisted will lead one to their own destruction.

Hydrogen is being steadily converted into helium and the other elements . . . How comes it then that the Universe consists almost entirely of hydrogen? If matter were infinitely old this would be quite impossible. So we see that the Universe being what it is, the creation issue simply cannot be dodged

Astronomer Edwin Hubble (1889-1953) realized that a red shift in light from distant galaxies showed that our universe is expanding and thus had a beginning

Can you prove that God doesn't exist? Everything has a designer or creator. The car you drive...there had to be a creator. God Is light and without HIm there would be no light. There Is a rather large amount of money to be given to the first person that can prove....that Evolution Or Darwin's theory Is factual.There hasn't been one person to date that can PROVE factualy,NOT ONE. The bible Is the Only book that has proven accounts of history that has really happened right down to the facts.Not one person can discredit the events that were written and show proof that they didn't occur. NOT ONE. Have you ever read the bible? How can you say something about the bible when you've never read it. Don't researchers atleast read and research they're material before making a statement about the subject in question reguardless of the topic? Atleast be smart enough to read It before you make such statements.Know what you're talking about.

I can show you some great REAL locations in the world that might change your mind. It did mine about how to think about what is written in the Bible.
I visited Job's Tomb in Oman, the location at Moab where Moses was separated with the Chosen People, the city of Babel in Iraq, the supposed place where Babylon (ancient Babylon) is located, the last known place where Matthew lived, the old location of Sodom and Gomora(sp), an ancient Ottoman Catholic school that is still in use in Iraq by Catholics. When you see places that have been written about 3,000 years ago in the Bible, it comes to life almost and becomes more real.
Christians take things on faith. One of the disciples didn't take things on faith and had to have everything proven to him. Christ told him that people who believe and do not see the proof are more blessed then him. So it is believed there's a great incentive to take things on faith. That's why.
Here's a good one. God told Abraham that his two sons would always be fighting one another until the end of the world. His two son's names are Isaac (the Jews) and Ishmael (people who later became Muslims). This was 4,000 years ago. Would you say that it is true today still?

you're right. that's pretty dumb. People prove the bible with the bible, the koran with the koran, etc. But the reason I know the Bible is true is because God follows it up with signs and miracles that no other "religion" can produce. When God says he will use his people to heal, he does it so that people will SEE and believe...not just read. He doesn't do the miracles as often in the US because we know the Bible. We have bibles and we have access to a church on every corner...But I have seen with my own eyes the miracles that God has done..(Blind eyes opening, cripples getting out of their wheelchairs...etc.). If you don't believe those signs that the God of the Bible is the only God by the signs and wonders he does, what will you believe.

It takes further research into the Bible as a whole, their are several prophecies that have already unfolded and some still to come to realization. The bible has been compared with ancient manuscripts , the Septuagint and other secular writings and scholars. What other book has lasted as long with people using their life to protect it and is distributed so widely? It is a book to be respected. In order to serve God well you need faith, without faith we cannot be pleasing to God.

that's not proving the bible using the bible. Thats simply using the bible as proof or as a reason for the validity adam and eve story. All christians must believe that the bible is the truth as part of their faith, therefore, they can use it as proof or a reason for things like that.

Most of the time the same people who use the Bible to prove their ridiculous claims are the same ones who tell you it can't be taken literally when they can't answer a tough questions. Which is it folks? All or nothing, you can't have it both ways.
