How likely is it that, if an albino person had a child with someone that is caucasion (white) that thier children would also be albino? I was just wondering how strong the albino gene was...its for my story I'm writing...

Albino people can have normally pigmented children, if they are able to have children. The only reason I know this is I know an albino woman, her child is normal but has very light colored eyes which are blue. The Winter Brother's are albino (Johnny and Edgar, although one is dead now. I don't know if they had children or not) If that albino parent has a normal partner, the child should be normal. You can google search Albino parent/normal child for more information.

It's possible for albino people to have "regular" children. In the case youy specifed all the children won't be albino unless the other preson (caucasian or not doesn't matter, other races have the gene too) also carries the albino gene. If two people who both carry the gene, but are'nt albino have children the statistical probability is 1 in 4 of them will be albino.

All of your children will be non-albino unless your husband carries the gene for Albinsim. Then there will be a 25% chance of having an albino child.

yes it is possible for people with the albino gene to have children that are not albino. it all comes down to the dominance of the genes. two people can have children, none of which are albino, and others have kids that all are. it all depends.

I believe it would be a 1 in 4 chance. Here's how it works. bunny xx and yy have a baby bunny zz. there are four genetic possibilities for bunny zz. He could be xx, yy, xy, or yx. you get a dominant and recessive gene for each parent. If your mom had blue eyes and your dad brown, you might have a dominant gene for brown eyes, and recessive for blue eyes,or a dominant gene for blue eyes and recessive for brown, also you could end up with a dominant and recessive gene of both brown or a dominant and recessive gene for both blue.

hope this helped.
