If any ambulance service was involved in an accident here are the steps that would be taken.
1) The ambulance would assess the patient in the van condition and if feasible stop for assistance's for the 2ND patient.
2) If both patients are in condition where the ambulance could stop at the scene they would have radioed for assistance. The two patience would then be transported to the hospital and the original ambulance left at the scene.
3) Worse case scenario, the 2ND victim situation would be radioed in a 2ND backup ambulance would pick up the 2nd victim and the original ambulance would continue on to the hospital.

This is a good question. I don't think they can just put them in the ambulance because that would be leaving the scene of an accident. I am sure the police would have to come and do some sort of investigation. This would suck for the first person hurt in the ambulance. I am sure something weird like this has happened before but I wonder what the outcome was.

Well, they have to stop to help, otherwise is a hit and run, and thats illegal. They can treat on the spot, leaving one paramedic behind waiting for the other ambulance while they take their patient to the Hosp, but The ambulance should have enough space to take that person too.

They don't have room for 2 people. They decide who is the most ill and leave the other one on the road, then call for another ambulance.

They are required by law to stop & see how bad the other person is. If they have room they can take the injured p[arty to the hospital. If they don't have roo they call for another bus to get the person.

LMAO...I would imagine so. Because if they don't, the lawyer following right behind them will have been an eye-witness to a hit and run.
