Well the story was that keeping cool makes you eat more while being in the heat makes you eat less. I think it makes sense.

Maybe if you sat in front of it all day. You wouldn`t sweat as much which is part of what causes you to lose weight when you exercise. So I could see it MAYBE contributing in some very small way. I wouldn`t TOTALLY disregard it. Good question by the way :o)

Do you mean cause or corellate. I do believe that people who spend more time in air conditioning are more likely to be fat but I completely disagree that air conditioning somehow causes a person to be fat; unless the study presented a scientific hypothesis and verified that the air somehow effected the biochemistry regardless of physical activity.

I live by the Gulf of Mexico and if that was true everyone in the South would be over weight because we love air due to the hot weather here!

that's the stupidest thing I have ever heard of... If you are fat you are lazy and don't exercise it has nothing to do with air conditioning. If anything it should make you want to exercise inside to beat the heat.

Maybe if you sit in front of it all day, eating doughnuts and ice cream and fast food.
