my exboyfriend is good friends with all my friends/roomates, and he comes around the house and out with us often. when i see him my heart almost seizes and i get so nervous. i don't know if i still love him because it's been 1.5 yrs since we broke up but i can't relax when he's around. my chest gets tight and i don't act calm and when i talk to him i keep my breath and speech quick and shallow. i can't even walk across the livingroom normally when he's in the room.

i always feel like i'm falling apart. does anyone have any suggestions to calm my nerves? no drugs or alcohol jokes please.

i thought i was over him, but he keeps coming around. for example, he's basically invited himself for camping this weekend at my parents' campsite

I know how you feel. Maybe he comes around so often because he isn't over you either. I tried everything i could think of to keep him off my mind and to stay "normal" when he was around, but nothing worked. So I decided that the only way out was to talk to him about it. I think you need to talk to him and find out what his motivation is for coming around so often. If you don't feel like you can handle talking to him about it, get a trusted friend to do it for you. Once you get things figured out, then maybe you will go back to "normal". If he still has feelings for you and the two of you didn't break up for a bad reason ( cheating, abuse, etc.) then maybe the two of you could give your relationship another chance. If it is meant to be, then it will work out.

Good luck.

just ignore what was between you , that's if you are not sure of ur love towards him , if not , just be normal , and talk to him , like there was nothing between you ,that's what I would do if I were you ;)

well, ask yourself if you want to have anything more to do with him...if 'yes', go talk to him, if 'no', ask him outright why he's hanging around all the time, and let him know u don't want to see him anymore...but you're going to have to answer that one...
