Ya, if you get the right kind. You also want to be careful about putting too much hair in the straightener at once because then it won't straighten as well.
If you plan on straightening a lot, you should purchase a straightening gel to apply when straightening. =)

Chemical straighteners dont work. They just loosen the curls, but you still have to straighten it yourself to get it really straight. A flat iron works very well, when your hair is dry. But it loosens your curls after time, and then you won't have natrually curly or straight hair anymore. My hair is natrually curly, but now the curls are really loose. It's because I flat iron it everyday. It looks pretty when it's straight. But straightening it is the only way it will look nice. It isn't worth it.

Sure they do........................I'm a beautician and what you you have to do is wash your hair and then deep conditioned it after that comb it out and blow dry your hair and don't worry if after you blow dry your hair and its puffy or if its still a little curly as long as your is dry your good.now you have to part your hair in little pieces and one by one put a little bit of perfect for perm grease and a some organic olive oil nourishing sheen spray (it comes in a green bottle) or you could put isoplus oil sheen hair spray(comes in a blue bottle) doesn't matter which one you put as long as you use the perfect for perms hair grease and one of the hair sheens that i listed you put these hair products on a piece of your hair when your about to straighting your hair do this to your whole head and your would be beautiful for about a 4 days Inessa you wet it and if you want it to last longer just wrap your hair every night and put a scarf over the wrap while your sleeping and when you wake up you just take the wrap out and your would like real nice you should do this every night starting the night you straighten your hair if you don't know what a wrap is or how to wrap your hair you can go into a local beauty salon and ask them to wrap your hair an show you how to do and they will be happy to. good luck with your hope it works out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Kind of. It takes forever unless you buy a really expensive one, and it won't look like most people's straight hair, or at least in my experience. Also, it damages your hair. What I do is wear my hair curly- I put mousse and gel in it after conditioning. It doesn't poof out, and it's a lot easier, quicker, and healthier than straightening.

Yeah, but the thicker your hair, the hotter the straightener is going to have to be. Just don't damage your hair by keeping it on too long or having it too hot. Experiment a little if you have your own or ask a hair stylist for advice.

yeah it works but if its very curly you will still have to help it along a little
but it does damage it also and your hair can get brittle and break
