actually, it could possible cause oral cancer. It is thought that repetitive trauma, such as biting you lip and such, can lead to oral cancer...i don't bite them anymore either!

I think it depends. If it's just because you need something to do with your mouth, then not really. But if it's an issue of not being able to stop for anything, like an obsessive compulsive issue, it could be bad. I wouldn't stress about it though. I do it, and I used to think it was some kind of big deal. But now I just don't think about it. It's kind of like biting your nails... no big deal, but still kind of annoying.

it could cause infection but wounds inside the mouth heal a lot faster than outside of it.

I've done it nearly every day since I was a kid. I say nearly because while I was taking Wellbutrin I had no desire to.

i do it all the time too. all that happends is that i get a sore. and i get a bump. i dont think it is bad
