I am a Athiest. I am fine with other beliefes and I think people should believe in whatever makes them happy. I choose not to believe in God or the story of Christ. I am happy, successful and loved. Why do so many Christians feel that I am lost because I do not believe in God? I receive so many e-mails from people wanting to help me see the light and find God. Is it so hard to understand that I don't believe in this. You can think I'm going to hell all you want, it doesn't bother me because I don't believe there is a hell. Is it so hard to comprehend that people can have different beliefs and be happy?

IF there is a God and I go to judgement before him, he will see I have led a good life and have done everything I can to help others and better myself. After seeing this if he still condems me to hell then I will still know I have made the right choose. ANY God who sends me to hell just for not worshiping him is not a God I want to have anything to do with.

I am a Christian, and I totally agree with you. It bugs me to no end that people call themselves "Christian" and then turn around and do something as UN-Christlike as judging other people. I would be thrilled if you accepted an invitation to come to my church and hear the word, but it is your choice and I believe GOD gave you the ability to make that choice. If you're happy with your choices, I'm happy for you. Do I think you're going to Hell because you're an Atheist? No. Because there's a lot more to living a "good life" than believing in God. I think a lot of "Christians" are going to be very surprised to see some people they judged as "sinners" in Heaven.

Christians are given a mission in life to bare witness to the Love of God.
John 3:16 For God so Loved the World that he gave his only begotten Son.
John 3:17 That whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
It is my belief that there is only one way to heaven that is through the life changing power of the Blood of Jesus. You are free to believe what you will however if you are being witnessed to by Christians you can believe that God has a hand in it. Most Christians do not act alone but with prayer and supplication are moved by the Holy Spirit to do so. If you are happy successful, and loved then I am happy for you however unless you accept the love of Jesus and confess with your mouth that you are a sinner you will surely die a spiritual death as well as face eternal pits of hell. Just because you do not believe in it does not make it so. You can very well say just because I do does not make it so. However life is a mystery to be traveled daily. It is our choices that will determine our fate. I do accept and comprehend that people have different beliefs and I am happy and resting in the blessed assurance that I will not perish in hell for Jesus is my Salvation and My Strength.

Who told you that life was about "being happy?" Happiness is a state of mind that can change at any time. The fact is that the purpose of life is to know God, his will for our lives, and to live a holy life. The Bible mentions atheists, did you know that? It calls them "fools." The Bible says that the fool has said in his heart that there is no God. With so much evil in the world, how can you say that you are "happy?" I think that you are just in denial of the reality of it all. God did create manking in his image and then mankind chose to sin and thus the world was damned. Jesus, however, came as mediator so that you and I could have access to God, forgiveness of our sins, and eternal life. This "happiness" of yours is just a temporaty fantasy. Get with the program. Choose life, Jesus is life.

You can be happy, as the way you are now.
But, when the chips are down, and your before JESUS, being judge on the great White Throne, then you will be on your way to Hell, and neither I, nor any other Christian wants to see ANYONE LOST!!!
One lost soul, is one too many!! It breaks our heart to see some one, who is a "good person", but doesnt know CHRIST, or even "rejects" HIM, go to Hell.
Be as it may, when you see our Christian Brethren, we will still make an attempt to "plant the seed" and have the LORD nurture it in your heart, and bring you around to being a Christian.
It may take time, or it may not even happen. Its strictly up to "you" and our LORD.

Christians believe Atheists are lost because that's what the Bible (i.e. "God") teaches. (surely, that's not difficult to comprehend. we believe what we believe --- we just happen to be the inverse of what you believe.)
Ofcourse, people can have different beliefs and be "happy" ~ but just remember one thing: Happiness is temporary state of emotion. An entire lifetime is equivalent to less than a second in God's eyes. (And it's the rest of time - according to God - that matters.)
You are entitled to your own beliefs; but don't ridicule Christians for theirs.

Because they want you to be like them, part of the tribe as it were. It freaks them out when one of the tribal members goes his own way.
I am a Christian of sorts, not the church going kind, but I know Jesus in my heart and that qualifies me as a Christian to me. I have to say that I believe He loves you no matter what and He doesn't want you to come to Him because you've been pushed into it. He would rather you come to Him from your own free will, or through some mind blowing experience so that you KNOW his love on a personal level. Anything less than that for some of us is a hollow experience.
I would question it too, had I not had the undeniable experience I had that led me to God and eventually Jesus. They love you regardless man, so not to worry or fret...just continue being happy.
If it happens for you though, I guarantee you'll love it.

I am in the same boat. Christians find it very hard to believe that if you don't believe in God then you can't have a fulfilling and happy life. I personally believe that I am more well-adjusted and more happy than my Christian friends.

I'M WITH YOU. I'M GOING TO BURN FOR ETERNITY BECAUSE I DONT BELIEVE IN A BIG BOOK OF FAIRY- TALES (WHICH QUITE HONESTLY I HAVE NOT READ MUCH OF).
HAY I GUESS THAT'S THE PRICE I PAY FOR NOT BEING BRAINWASHED AT AN EARLY AGE.
NOW THAT I IS ALL GROWED UP I DONT THINK I CAN EVER BELIEVE IN SUCH A THING. I MEAN THERE ARE SO MANY ORGANIZED RELIGIONS AND SECTS OF THOSE RELIGIONS, AND EACH ONE SAYS THEIRS IS THE ONLY WAY AND THOSE HOW DONT BELIEVE WILL SOMEHOW BE PUNISHED OR SOMETHING. B.S.

A Christian that is a true believer knows in his heart of hearts that outside Christ is only destruction. Many Christians you know must care for you so they pray for you and tell you about their Lord. You see it as interference that too bad they see it as their duty to God. To us you are lost. God has chosen us we want you to be chosen too..

I don't think you are lost. I think you are confused. Not being rude but I do.
I guess it bothers me b/c I want everyone to know what I know...To feel what I feel.
But if you are happy live your life the way you are. There isn't anything anyone can do to make someone see the way they do. It's just sad from my point of view.
