I seriously doubt it. A meteorite hitting a plane is comparable to trying to hit a mosquito in a soccer stadium from the top floor with a pistol.

well a TON of meteorites make it to earth..but no its never happened..i've taken aviation safety classes and have books and its never mentioned
if it were to happy the force of the impact..even from a small rock would be pretty catastrophic to the aircraft..using the simple F=MA equation
even though its small..it's going very very very fast..and aircraft skin isn't the strongest stuff on earth
bad news bears

I attended USC's safety program. I went through the Aircraft Accident Investigation Program. Nothing like you describe was ever discussed and I can't imagine the faculty not introducing something that odd into the curriculum. Based on that I would say NO it has never happened.

I have seen plenty of lightning strikes on them but never have heard or seen of a meteorite hitting one.

I agree with the above. I've never heard or even imagined of such an accident occurring. Chances are probably slim to none.

hm......I doubt it, I have never heard of it, there is a very small chance that it would happen, not many meteorites make it to earth.
