It looks so nice when it's wet, but when it dries it poofs right out. What can I do until it grows out?

My old roomie had short curly hair that was not poofy or frizzy at all. Now, it did not look wet like in your question but it was shiny. She used Potion 9. It's a leave-in conditioner and she used quite a bit of it on her hair. And also, it smells good too!

I have curly hair and use whatever styling product the wife has laying around. Gel, mousse, wax, lotions. I even just leave in a dab of conditioner sometimes and that works great!
Also, your hair is already curly which leads to poof. A SMOOTHING shampoo will help control it.

I have short curly hair too and use to hate it. But I got it cut in layers. The back is short so instead of laying on my neck like straight hair sticks out everywhere and the front is tapered around my face but in curls instead of straight. I use Dove leave in conditioner and Thermasilk Mousse or Gel. Then I scrunch while I blow dry it on low medium heat. I get compliments on it all day long. Hope this helps out. I know what's its like to have curly hair and not know how to fix it. I went all through school like that.

try a volumizing spray on mouse....also, Aussie makes a good "sprunch" hairspray....and...try wash n curl shampoo....it helps your hair stay curly all the time

YOU COULD USE MOOSE, GEL THAT WILL MAKE IT LOOK WET ALL THE TIME SUAVE PUTS OUT GOOD PRODUCTS AND SO DOES LORI ELL
