A couple years ago Oleg Maskev knocked Hasim Rahman out of the ring in the 10th round. Theyre fighting each other again this fall, the rematch should be interesting.

I didn't see it but World Heavyweight Champion Jack Dempsey was knocked through the ropes by the Wild Bull of the Pampas Luis Firpo but got back in the ring and knocked Firpo out in the 2nd round. I believe the year was 1923.

I saw Ray Mancini kill Duk Koo Kim in 1982. I think he went through the ropes....
(Although Kim didn't die right there, he did die 5 days later...)
Edit - Either spelling of Kim's first name appears to be acceptable. I can't remember & can't find any backup on Kim going out of the ring so, I'll take your word on it .... As for the question, it has been done.

No but a couple years ago I saw some Olympic heavyweight in his first pro fight almost put a dude threw the ropes

yes i have, i dont recall what boxer it was, or who he was fighting, but it was a hell of a punch.
the guy actually got knocked down but with enough force he slipped through the ropes. he lost=)

Do you remember George Foreman? i saw a re-run of his fight with Ken Norton which was held during the late 70's? anyway, Big George was backing up, Ken Norton stalking, and once Ken came in, Bingo!! Big George got him w/ an uppercut which sent the poor guy up in the air! he fell like he'd never survive the whole tragedy..He appeared like a ragdoll being flipped up..Big George was an ANIMAL! like a Black BEAR! wow!
