A food with a lot of grams of fat?

I think a food high in grams of fat is worse, but I am not sure.

it's a trick question.

Fat is converted into calories (energy) which the body uses. What the body doesnt use, it converts back into fat and stores it for future use.

Therefore, foods high in fat just have an extra step in metabolism than foods high in calories. Any unused energy gets converted and deposited as fat anyway.

Go for foods which are high in carbohydrates, but are low GI. This provides long term energy and you will eat less in total, rather than several high energy spikes and corresponding lows during the day.

First of all you want to know if what your eating is in one of the food groups, & not under the other category. So the food guide is awesome to answer that question. Then you want to see how fast or slow your body is buring what you have just ingested. So get a hold of a G.I. index book. Something could be high in calories but takes a longer time to break down, thus resulting in a lower G.I count. I would go with low fat foods in your diet most of the time. Search for good & bad fats on the web & that should answer a lot of your question.

If a food has a lot of fat it will have a lot of calories. I would rather have good calories than bad ones.
