I really want a set of womens golf clubs. It would be my first set. Could someone also tell me about how much it would cost for wedges, irons, woods and a putter. Do you have to buy them seperately are do some sets come all together?

If you are not a beginner, the Adams Idea set for women is probably the best bargain. About $500 for a full set of clubs. If you prefer a more well known brand, the Taylor Made Miscela's are an excellent choice as well. These will cost you about $1000.

If you are a relatively new player, you defintiely should get the Callaway GES. This set comes with 3 irons, 3 woods, a putter, and a pretty nice, lightweight golf bag. The entire set can be had for about $200-$300. It is also available on eBay. Rather than having numbered clubs (3-PW), the irons have been simplified to: short iron, mid iron, and long iron. Same with the woods.

The reason I recommend this set is not because it is a bargain (which it is). It is the forgiveness. The most common reason why people start golf and then quit is because they get frustrated. It may take a year or longer to really develop your swing. During this time, you want the most forgiving clubs possible to keep you from getting frustrated and giving up the game.

I started and quit golf several times, but last year, I finally took up the GES set, and it has really helped me stick with the game. I think that the GES is the best investment any woman can make during the first 2-3 years of golf.

Hope this is helpful!

Some sets can come complete from your sand wedge through your driver. Often you will see irons and woods/drivers separate. Almost always any specialty clubs like your putter and particular pitching wedges will be separate. Cost can vary greatly depending on the brand, type of shaft, type of club heads, etc.

I would recommend that you find a local golf course or club and talk to a couple different club pros or instructors. They will be able to give you a lot of good advice on what to look for in your first set based on your build and strength. They may even offer to do a quick analysis of your swing to determine what basic kinds of clubs would best suit you.

Another plus of visiting the local clubs and courses is that members will often be selling last year's clubs so they can replace them with the hot new clubs. You can often pick up set of premium clubs that has only been used for a season or two for a very reasonable price.

Golfsmith.com, walmart, kmart as well as sporting goods stores offer complete golf starter sets. these sets include 3 drivers (1,3,5) full set of irons (3-PW, SW) as well as a putter too. also includes a bag sometimes as well. these sets for beginers are what you want to look into. they are usually around $150-180 and are the best bang for the buck you can get. There's no need for you to invest in a "custom" set until you either play better or realize that golf can actually be fun. This starter set should give you everything you need to get started except the balls (sold separately) Look to your local sporting goods stores or there are used golfing stores like 2nd Swing and hit 'em again's that sell used sets as well.

www.wgagolf.com

Check out this web site,... it is a club maker and seller located in the western most portion of Georgia on the Alabama line. They make their own clubs and offer a quality product at a very reasonable price. You can also pick up accessories such as bags, shoes, balls and gloves. Give them a call, stop in or shop online, you won't be disappointed! They offer shipping all over the country... Good luck, and hit 'em straight.
