i commend you for wanting your son to have juice. my babies all had either milk, water, or juice for the first 5 years or so. however, by this age he can have grown-up juice, just check the label and make sure it's 100% juice. also, with my girls i cut it with water sometimes.
(i even cut my own juice i drink with water, still tastes good and less calories!)

I like giving my kids Juicy Juice or any other "all juice" brands.
Try to avoid the juice cocktails.
Pediatricians also say the most juice a toddler should drink a day is 4 ounces.
I always dilute it with a bit of water or ice cubes in a sippy cup.

Wow. Go easy, easy, easy on the juice and NEVER out of a bottle. It is so bad for their teeth. I made the mistake of putting apple juice in my oldest daughter's bottle. This was back in '84 before we had all the info on how bad juice was for little ones. Anyway, her two front upper middle teeth rotted out and back then they put silver caps on. UGH! It ate away the enamel. And yes, I bought the best. IT doesn't matter. If you must give them juice, dilute with water and give it out of a glass.
And do not be fooled into thinking "no sugar" or "all natural" is any better, its not. Fruit has its own natural sugar and it will do as much harm to their teeth as anything.

You should never feed a baby or toddler juice, it has too many calories and too much sugar and no nutritional value. That's how you make them fat and not eat a good diet, because they get used to it. Todays juice drinkers are tomorrow's soda drinkers.
Make sure your child has enough WATER, and give them Milk every once in a while.
Juice is bad for kids and causes malnutrition, diarrhea, stomach problems and tooth decay. Kids should eat whole fruits and get their fruit juice that way.

Juice isn't really the best drink. Keep it to a minimum. It has lots of sugar. Bad for teeth and lacks nutrition in proportion to calories. Consider diluting it with water if you must feed your toddler juice.

I wouldn't give my kids juice. I developed 2 problems one with each of my children from juice. My daughter had teeth problems and my son weight problems. both due to the suger and calories in juice. There is no nutrtional value in juice, at all. so I would stick to water. plus it develops a stigma with kids when they get older they only want juice or sweet drinks

I'm 12 and I give my 1 year old nephew Juicy Juice in a cup half way mixed with water. His mom recommends that.
