why would you fly when you can take a train. much more safe, non stressful, and scenic. one gets much more flavour of the people and their land when on the rails. remember it's europe not america. enjoy the interaction and vibe of your neighbors

We just did exactly that a couple weeks ago. I don't konw what website, but found a relatively cheap flight to Paris. It seemed sketchy at first because it said to take this bus to Bratislava, Slovakia and then there would be a connecting flight to Paris.

However, Bratislava is only 30-45 minutes away from Vienna and the flight wasn't too bad. If I find out the website, I'll post again. Oh and good luck finding hotels in Paris... I would definitely call the owner/hotel beforehand and confirm details instead of believing the internet 100%... We booked on Priceline and there were some problems with our hotel.

Here we are:

I will suggest Charlse De Gaulle Airport because it's better connected with Paris.

Good luck and enjoy the trip with the family!
