You're correct, but a younger sister looks up to her older sis to take care of her.

I am a younger sister. It has never been my contention that my older sister should stand up and try to get things for me. If she had, I probably would not know how to stand up and get things for myself today. It is not the responsibility of the older sister to make a path to follow. It is the responsibility of the younger sister to make her own path. She will get away with much more than her older sister ever did simply because the parents are tired and don't fear as much. For example, I quit having a curfew at age 15 because my parents were sure nothing would happen. They were sure of this because nothing happened when my sister snuck out, nothing happened, so I was allowed to do anything. Her day will come when her wish to not have the restrictions will come true

The younger one is just looking for someone to blame and it's easier to take it out on the older sister. The younger one also doesn't realize that her parents are forbidding it out of love, not out of cruelty. So many horrible things happen these days. A half hour walk unsupervised could leave the susceptible to one of those child molesters or something. She'll get over it, but in the meantime, maybe one day to be nice, big sis could take little sis down to the mall.

The younger sister sounds like a spoiled brat who just needs to blame someone. Tell the older sister to set her straight.
I'm the eldest child and would not let my younger siblings treat me with such disrespect. Of course this is not the "okay" to boss around the younger sibling. Everyone just needs to be considerable towards each other.
If the younger sister ASKS the older sister to talk to their parents and try to convince them to let her go then that would be different. The younger sister has no right to EXPECT or DEMAND that her older sister to do anything for her.

well that is some grimy thing you did there i mean when my parents say that i can't go somewhere my sisters always back me up...so i think maybe you should convience your parennts to let her go unless your sister is NEVER going to get anywhere or tell your parents you'll take her and then go hang with your freinds while she's there and then pick her up and go home........if your willing to take the risks? but im 14 so that's my point of view!

No she is just too young to do that yet. I can see maybe getting dropped off for an hour or so but not to walk and be gone for hours. Not big sis's problem.

No, it's not reasonable, BUT it is how a TYPICAL 14 year old girl would react. Tell her if she wants more freedom, then she should act more responsibly.
