I definitely do NOT! being that i turned 20 last December and gave birth to my daughter in march, there is nothing wrong with being a young mom. I'm also married, but i got married when i was 18. i think its perfectly normal.

It's not about age. You should be married, have a stable income, your own home, and be mature. No going out at night, no movies, no parties, no shopping for the trendiest outfit (unless it's for your baby). I was 20 when I had my son but I had all of those things and was ready. Think about real hard first. Try volunteer at a nursery to kind of quench your thirst a bit. If you have friends with kids give them some much needed rest and babysit for the whole day. You'll get practice and a small bit of insight into the day of a parent.
Also consider what's best for the baby. You may want a baby but if you have one to soon because of your own desire, you are being selfish. You want your child to have the world, why don't you try and get some of it for yourself first?

Depends on your situation. If you have had experience taking care of children, or come from a large family where there are a lot of younger children that you have helped care for through teething, diaper rash, vomiting all over your dry clean only silk blouse, wetting through their crib sheets, sleeper and blankets at 3:00 am and crying because they are cold and wet. Walking them for 3 hours because they are colicky and you haven't slept in 16 hours and you have to go to work in 2 hours to support the child because there isn't a full time daddy in the picture....if you can truly say you can deal with all this without help from mom, or dad, then yes go ahead and get pregnant.
Also, babies don't stay babies for ever. They grow fast and need new shoes, clothes, braces, sports, dance, tutoring, driving lessons...tuition for college.....All these things should be taken into consideration before you decide you are ready

I had my son at the age of 19. I think if I could I would have waited till I was 25 or 26. I think when you are older you have more patience and more financially secure. But I love being a mother to an 11 year old. It is your decision and it really is something to think about before you get pregnant. Good Luck

i don't think it is in some situations, but in others it might be. i had my daughter when i was 19 and it was the best thing that's ever happened to me. i had all of my family and my bf(plus some of his family) there supporting me all the way throught it. and they are still here for me helping. so it really has to do with your situation and if you can support the baby pretty well. also depends on how ready you feel that you are for a baby. so i don't feel that 19 is too young if you are prepared for it.

From the standpoint of physically carrying and bearing the baby while 19, you contribute the strength of a strong young body. For lack of experience, you need to be very much aware of dangers that can hurt the child. This includes toy dangers, things in the house a crawling baby can get into, what pets are there around him, what can result in falls,. what he can ingest that could do harm. etc.

It depends on the person and the situation. I found out that I was pregnant when I was 19 and delivered him when I was 20.
My son is now 5.

Yes, definitely! 19 is the time to travel, party, be with friends and have fun. You can't do that with a baby.

It depends. If someone is pregnant, they already HAVE a baby and they need to do the right thing and choose life, and the joy that comes with it.
If just thinking of getting pregnant, waiting until you're older, (definitely married) and more stable will help with having a family.
